In December of 2024 Los Jardines Institute sent 47 letters to every dollar store in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The letters below outline that dollar stores have intensive actions that need to be taken to better protect our communities from the impacts of toxic chemicals found in products on the shelves at the dollar store.
These actions were done in solidarity with communities across the nation who were protesting and organizing for cleaner and healthier dollar store products in their communities.
